All responses will remain entirely confidential. The answers you provide will never be linked to you personally and will be analysed at an aggregate level. Your answers will be used for the purposes of this research only.
At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you are willing to be recontacted for market research purposes by Walnut Unlimited and/or Help Musicians or the Musicians’ Union. You will also be asked if you are happy for you answers in survey to be linked to your personal contact details. Both of these are completely optional.

Some of the data we collect is termed as sensitive and we will ask questions relating to age, disability, race and gender. We would greatly appreciate you disclosing this information so that we can better analyse the experiences of people from a range of different backgrounds within the music sector.

Free Prize Draw
Terms and Conditions
1. By entering the prize draw you are agreeing to these prize draw terms and conditions.
2. The prize draw is being run by Help Musicians and the Musicians Union.
Eligibility to enter
3. The prize draw is open to entrants over 16 years of age and all individuals who have completed the Musicians’ Census survey in full. Help Musicians and Musicians Union staff members are excluded from the draw.
4. In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
5. A maximum of one entry per individual is permitted.
6. The prize draw is free to enter.
How to enter
7. The prize draw will include all individuals who have completed the Musicians’ Census and confirmed that they wish to enter into the Prize Draw.
8. Following completion of the Census, individuals will be asked to indicate whether they would like to enter the prize draw. If indicating yes, they be asked to provide an email address to allow the winners to be contacted.
9. Help Musicians and the Musicians Union cannot accept responsibility if details entered into the prize draw to enable participation are incomplete or inaccurate.
The prize/s
10. The prize will be a £300 One4All Gift Card with FIVE winners drawn in total.
11. The five winners will be drawn at random.
12. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered.
13. We reserve the right to substitute prizes with another prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control make it necessary to do so.
15. The decision of Help Musicians and the Musicians Union regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
Announcement of Winners
16. The winner will be notified after the Census has closed in early March via the email provided during sign up process.
17. Help Musicians and the Musicians Union will attempt to contact the winner by email up to two times.
18. If the winner does not respond to the emails notifying them of their win within 14 days of the second email, they will lose their right to the prize, and we reserve the right to choose and notify a new winner.
Receipt of the prize
18. Please allow 14 days for delivery of the prize or alternative collection or delivery arrangements may be made through mutual agreement.
Data protection and publicity
19. You consent to any personal information you provide in entering the prize draw being used by Help Musicians and the Musicians Union for the purposes of administering the prize draw, and for those purposes as defined within the Census privacy notice.
20. All entrants may apply for details of the winning participant by contacting us at Help Musicians Census Prize Draw, 7-11 Britannia Street, London WC1X 9JS.
21. The winner agrees to the release of their first name and county within the U.K to any other prize draw participants if requested via Help Musicians and the Musicians Union.
22. All personal information shall be used in accordance with the Census Privacy Notice.
Limitation of Liability
23. Help Musicians and the Musicians Union do not accept any liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any entrants as a result of either participating in the prize draw or being selected for a prize.
24. We reserve the right to cancel the prize draw or amend these terms and conditions at any time, without prior notice.
25. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
